Veterinary Medical Charities a 501(c)(3) Nonprofit Organization was founded by Veterinary professionals after years of seeing animals euthanized for treatable conditions because their owners were at a financial disadvantage (homelessness, low-income, stray animals). VMC aims to provide medical care for animals in need whose owners meet predetermined criteria for financial assistance. VMC strives to eliminate unnecessary medical bills through education and preventative care including vaccination clinics and free laparoscopic surgeries for homeless/stray pets.
VMC funds are not for emergency cases that need a timely response as each case is reviewed by all board members. All considered situations require that the animal is in a stable condition (for example broken leg after being hit by a car, or open pyometra) before the case undergoes review. Funds are not processed on weekends or at end of the business. The prognosis from a Veterinarian must be fair-good, allowing us to help numerous pets that would otherwise live a long/healthy life.
VMC funds will also go to helping our local shelters by fostering and adopting kittens, providing vaccinations/medical treatment, and spaying/neutering procedures.
